I really wanted to do a complete sale haul blog post, but due to the fact my online clothes orders haven't arrived yet I thought I'd split them and start with some of the jewellery bargains I picked up on the High Street during the Boxing Day sale instead.
If I'm honest I'm not usually a fan of Topshop jewellery. I think its really overpriced for what it is. It discolours really quickly resulting in the items being pricey two-wear wonders. I resent paying £16 for a necklace for it to end up in the bin after just a few outings. I know it's only costume jewellery but I own Primark 3 quid jobbies that I have worn for months & still don't leave me green.
Anyway, the sales come along and the prices are slashed and I forget how disposable the jewellery is. Not that I mind it being dispensable, as most fashion is - so long as I'm not being robbed for the privilege!

Primark have rolled out their Limited Edition collection to stores nationwide and slightly better quality items can be had for a slightly higher price ticket. See, the thing is, Primark has made frugal things of us shoppers and we kind of resent paying middle-of-the-road High Street prices in Primark. If we wanted to spend £25 quid on a top we'd go to Miss Selfridge - which results in many of their Limited Edition lines destined for the sale rail come the new season.
Primarks limited lines includes jewellery. I had noticed a few fancy looking statement necklaces on my regular visits but despite being tempted couldn't warrant coughing up the £10 asking price. I'm glad I held out. This opulent piece was knocked down to a bargain £3.00.

I had a bit of a 'mare NYE where I've lost weight and none of my clothes were fitting well. In a stressed out mess with my entire wardrobe contents on the floor, I ended up chucking the necklace on with a metallic mullet hem top from River Island. Despite feeling a bit rubbish I got quite a few compliments on my bling! Here's me on NYE with my Mum ....bare it mind it was well after midnight by this time and i'd have one too many naughty vodkas!
My lovely fiance Jamie got a Michael Kors watch for Christmas. Problem is I didn't have much rose gold bling to wear with it. Luckily I found these lovelies, again all sale bargains!
|L-R: Solid Stud Bangle-Topshop £2.75, Chain-mail Necklace-Miss Selfridge £3, Elasticated Spikes-Topshop £3.25, Cross Ring-River Island £2.|
I loved the stud trend of AW12 (see my customised studded jumped post here!) and am hoping to carry on wearing it until the weather gets warmer and I'm obligated to wear a cheerier wardrobe.
Skulls compliment studs to no end and I found these ghoulishly gothic bargain buys in Topshop. They're plastic so definitely no green wrists! Yeayyy!

Love the collar tips from Primark too, had I found them sooner I would have happily paid the full £1.50 asking price, but getting them for just 50 pence was definitely my bargain find of the day!
